For all our water activities and courses you will be offered a wetsuit (excluding boat hire), especially during colder weather. If you have your own wetsuit, bring that with you. We recommend you wear a wicking thermal layer underneath and swimming costume/shorts for comfort. Please avoid wearing cotton t-shirts underneath your wetsuit as these just stay wet and make you cold.
On activity days / courses we provide:
- Wetsuits
- Buoyancy aids
- Helmets
You will need:
- Shoes - closed toe footwear suitable for getting wet e.g. old trainers or neoprene shoes. Flip flops, sliders and crocs are unsuitable and may get lost in the lake.
- Shorts and T-shirt - for getting wet in or to go under your wetsuit.
- A full change of clothes, footwear and a towel as you might (probably will) get wet!
- A bag for your wet stuff.
- In sunny weather remember your sunhats and sun cream.
- Water bottle.
- Hair-tie if you have long hair.
- Lockers are available in the adult changing rooms, you just need a padlock. If you forget it you can purchase one from reception.
What to wear for Powerboat Courses?
- Powerboating is an exhilarating activity and as such you may reach high speeds or be stationary whilst driving the boats. Please bring warm layers and water proof jacket and trousers to keep you snug. Hats, sunglasses and snoods can also help keep you warm in windy conditions.
- Wellies are also a great idea to keep your feet dry.
- For Powerboat courses please bring a passport sized photo with you for your certificates.
