About Warren Wood
Warren Wood is an 8 hectare area of secondary birch oak, pine woodland and a large meadow between Nine Mile Ride and Warren Lane in Finchampstead.
The site also contains a scheduled ancient monument, a round burial mound, which is the largest example of a 'bell barrow' in Berkshire and dates back to between 2000 and 1300 BC.
Parking Facilities
There is no car park for Warren Wood, but California Country Park car park is just 600 metres away. Access is from Warren Lane, off of Nine Mile Ride, RG40 3RF.
Accessibility
Warren Wood has some steep inclines and no formal surfaced paths. The site can also become quite muddy during wetter months. Therefore, it may not be suitable for wheelchair users.
