Fishing Rules

Day Fishing

Day Fishing - locations available: 

• River Loddon
• White Swan Lake, and 
• Longmoor Lake at California Country Park.

Day Fishing Hours:

• 7:00 AM to dusk
• Lakes currently operate under a flexible closed season and are currently open.

Night Fishing

• Night fishing is restricted to Specimen Group members. Please read our specimen group members Night Syndicate Rules for more information

Fishing charges

Casual Day Ticket Charge:

• £7 per rod (maximum of two rods per person).
• Purchase from the car park ticket machines. To purchase:
  • Enter "FISH" as your car registration and as the reference at the car park ticket machine.
  • Pay separately for car parking.

Day Season Ticket Charge:

• Available via telephone card payment.
• For more details, email countryside@wokingham.gov.uk.
• Maximum of two rods per person
• Below Fishing Charges apply between 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025

Environment Agency Rod Licence:

• All anglers aged 12 and above must hold a valid EA Rod Licence.
• Please apply through the Environment Agency.

Waiting List Update

Waiting lists for Black Swan, White Swan, and GOLD are currently closed due to a lengthy wait time of approximately 4-6 years.
