What to bring
Our guided paddles take place throughout the year so please ensure you take the weather into account when deciding what to bring.
- We suggest you bring nice warm clothing that you don't mind getting wet and valuables are left somewhere secure or in a waterproof case secured to your person.
- Please wear closed toe footwear suitable for getting wet e.g. old trainers or neoprene shoes. Flip flops and crocs are unsuitable and may get lost in the lake.
- Don’t forget a full change of clothes, footwear and a towel as you might get wet!
- In sunny weather remember your sunhats and sun cream.
Night paddles
In addition to the above, if you are joining us for one of our trip on the lake after dark you may wish to bring a torch (head torches can be ideal when trying to get on and off boats in the dark). Once out on the lake we like to keep artificial lights to a minimum and will supply glow sticks to help illuminate your craft and participants.
Once the sun has gone down the air temperature can drop on the lake especially on a windy day so please consider bringing extra layers if you are unsure.
