Parking at California
Parking, Location and Facilities
California Country Park covers 40 hectares and is set within 100 acres of ancient bogland and lowland heath. It offers scenic walks, wildlife watching, fishing and more. The park is open daily throughout the year. The footpath around Longmoor Lake is hard surfaced. Other trails through the park are not and may be unsuitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs in wet, muddy conditions.
No barbeques or open fires are allowed.
Roadworks Update
Please be aware that there are roadworks blocking a section of Nine Mile Ride. The best way to reach California Country Park is from Arborfield end of Nine Mile Ride or by following the posted diversions at the roadworks.

Walks and Trails
There are 2 walks at the park. The Longmoor Lake walk is 0.9 miles long.
The Woodland Walk is 2.2 miles long. The Woodland Walk takes into the 8,000 year old Longmoor Bog on a specially constructed board walk. This is now a Site of Special Scientific Interest, due to it's abundance of rare sedges and mosses. This includes the Heathland, Longmoor Lake and woodland.

Dogs are welcome
Dogs are welcome at California and we provide dog bins for you to use. Please respect others by keeping your dog under control and don't allow them to foul in public areas. We don't allow dogs in the play park and near the paddling pool.
Longmoor Lake fishing information
Longmoor Lake at California Country Park is a picturesque 6-acre estate lake providing excellent fishing for all. Originally excavated over 100 years ago, the lake which boasts 5 islands, provides fishing for the specimen and pleasure angler alike.

Self Service Dog Wash
Discover California Country Park's Self Service Dog Wash, conveniently located within our main car park near to Jackson’s Cafe. This easy to use facility is ideal for washing your dog. The machine provides warm water, a range of shampoos and a two speed dryer - all at a low cost.
No more muddy paws - leaving your car and home clean and everyone ready to relax after your walkies!

Car park charges
Cars
- Up to and including 3 hours: £2.30 per hour
- 4 hours and over £9.20 flat rate
Coaches
- £25 flat rate per day (all year)
Mini Buses
- Mini buses with 10 seats or more count as a coach and should therefore pay the coach parking fee unless they are displaying a Blue Badge.
Blue Badge Holders and Motorcycles
- Free of charge
- Blue Badge Holders must clearly and correctly display their blue badge to qualify for free parking within the car parks.
Season Tickets
- Standard 6 months: £125
- Standard 12 months: £230
- Concessionary 6 months: £85
- Concessionary 12 months: £165
Unlocking the gate
- £115 to unlock the gates
To apply for a season ticket, complete the online form.
Pay and Display tickets are available from the car park ticket machines. Car parking charges apply from 6am to 10pm daily. All income goes to the maintenance of California Country Park. Payment is by cash, credit or debit card.
The access gate to the car parks is only open between 7am and 10pm. Please ensure that you have left the car park in time for the automatic gates to be locked at 10pm. Your car could get locked and there would be a penalty charge to unlock it.

- Select: Car Park Unlocking Fee
- This brings up the page where you enter your car’s registration and car park details and then go to check out.
